Hey there, world changer!

Position is a powerful thing. To be positioned means to be arranged in a certain way, to be fixed or set up. How you are positioned has everything to do with your effectiveness and there are three positions I want to highlight: your position spiritually, your position physically, and your position internally (your heart posture).

The first position is central to all of the others — your position spiritually. If you are a believer of Jesus Christ, there is a spiritual inheritance that is freely given to you. Colossians 3:1-3 says, “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above and not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” In Jesus, you have authority over the world and any work on the enemy to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). The Kingdom of God was established through Jesus Christ and your position in Christ gives you the right to enforce what was already done on the cross.

You are also positioned physically to influence. God has placed you in workplaces, circles of friends, networks, churches, families, and many other groups. Mark 16:15 says, “He said to them, ‘Go into the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'” You have been sent out into the world around you to bring the Kingdom of God into “your” world. When Jesus died and rose again, he entrusted us to be His hands and feet. There are people in your sphere of influence that are waiting for you to deliver the good news of hope and love.

Lastly, your internal position or your heart posture is important to pay attention to because everything flows from the heart (Jere. 29:13, Matt. 22:37, Prov. 3:5-6). You can be positioned exactly where you’re supposed to be, but your attitude or commitment can be lacking. Have you ever been in a room with someone who just doesn’t want to be there? I have and it makes it miserable for everyone else. Anyone can show up, but it’s powerful to commit and be fully invested from the heart or be all in!

Let me remind you of this: you are positioned for a purpose and it is God’s will for you to be effective in everything your hand touches. We live in an urgent day where the world desperately needs Jesus. Let’s be women that are fully invested and committed to bringing the Kingdom of God to the world around us!
