Hey there, world changer!
This year for me (in so many ways!) has been a year of personal growth and transformation. I’ve found that when life hits and circumstances don’t seem to be favorable, it’s really easy to shrink back in our faith journey. But, it takes courage to move towards God and allow him to do the deep inner work that needs to be done. You see, challenging circumstances most often are the very means to our own personal growth, healing, and transformation.
Throughout the year, more often than I can count, I’ve heard the Lord tell me, “Ashley, if you would just commit to working through the pain and not shy away, I will prepare you for what I have next.” I believe it is only possible to face some of the most challenging, painful areas of our lives when we have a revelation of what Jesus already did on the cross.
You see, Jesus paid it all. John 19:28 says, “It is finished!” The promises of God are already yes and amen. Because of what Jesus did, we can pray from a place of victory rather than pray for victory.
Isaiah 53:4-6 says, “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him and by his wounds, we are healed.”
What Jesus did on the cross was absolutely personal. Every time you and I miss the mark in life, fail to measure up, experience heartache or sickness, we can align ourselves to the power of the cross and receive the freedom and breakthrough we need. All you need to do is receive it through faith.
Keep pushing through and don’t shy away from the hard parts in life. The greatest miracles of your life are on the other end of the struggle!
