Hey there, world changer!
Do you ever imagine life without hardship and trials? If I’m perfectly honest, I do. I believe it is natural for us to hope from time to time for life on earth to be the way God always intended it to be, a life without pain and suffering. In creation, life on earth was once perfect. Jesus reminds us that one day he will come again and restore earth back to His original plan. He will wipe away every tear, every heartache and restore what was lost and stolen. The book of Revelation gives us a beautiful picture of what the great restoration will one day look like. One day, it will be our reality.
But, until that day comes, every believer must learn to navigate trials, persecutions, and hardships. As much as we all dislike suffering and try to avoid it, we must all face it from time to time. The Bible says that hardship falls on believers and unbelievers alike (Matthew 5:45), meaning everyone under the sun will experience hardship at some point in life.
But, the good news is this! God gives us the supernatural ability to be content, peaceful and joyful through it all. John 14:27 says, “The peace I give is a gift the world cannot give so do not be troubled or afraid.” God calls us to a position of peace. God also gives us grace that enables us to be content in every situation or circumstance (2 Corinthians 12:8-10). I’ve learned that it’s easy to possess peace and contentment when life is going well, but it is completely supernatural to be anchored when storms come.
My friend, whatever you’re facing, you don’t need to be tossed around. You can remain grounded in the promises of God. I’m not saying it’s always easy, but the truth is that the storm never lasts so keep your peace and finish strong.
